There has been bad blood between the Dallas Mavericks and the Oklahoma City Thunder since Russell Westbrook's pre-game dance got interrupted by Mavericks Charlie Villanueva and Justin Anderson. Since then, players from both sides took cheap shots at each other throughout the series. Antics continued into game four when Kevin Durant was ejected with less than a minute left in the Oklahoma City Thunder's 119-108 victory against the Dallas Mavericks. Durant committed a flagrant-2 foul by striking Mavericks forward Justin Anderson in the head.
Last night, the Oklahoma City Thunder eliminated the Dallas Mavericks with a 118-104 win in Game 5. Prior to the game, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban may have provided Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook with some unwarranted pre-game motivation.
Cuban referred to Kevin Durant as the Thunder's "one superstar," and downplayed Russell Westbrook's role on the Thunder.
"I think he's an All-Star but not a superstar," Cuban said (via ESPN).
Watch below as Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook respond to questions about Mark Cuban and Charlie Villanueva.
